Release 1 Notes
Data for the first 30 sols of the Phoenix mission were released on Dec 23, 2008. Additional data will be released according to the mission archive plan.
Most of the released data are in the Notebook. Some data were not released in time to be included in this Notebook release, but are available from the Planetary Data System (PDS). Refer to the table below.
Calibration Reports / Software Interface Specifications
All calibration reports and the MET and TEGA Software Interface Specification (SIS) documents are currently under ITAR clearance review. An approved version of these documents is expected to be part of release 2 (Feb 22, 2009).
Features and Targets
The sol summaries contain a list of features and targets defined by the science team that were available for use on a given sol. Not every feature or target listed was used.
Daily activity plans will be included in release 2 of the Notebook (Feb 22, 2009) showing activities, targets, features, and related products.
Coordinated Observations
The Phoenix and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) missions carried out a series of coordinated observations. The MRO data from coordinated observations within the first 30 sols have not been released at this time. Coordinated observation listings will be included in release 2 of the Notebook (Feb 22, 2009).

1. PDS labels for some OM RDR data products include a group named CALIBRATION_PIPELINE. This group and the keywords within it are not standard PDS terms. These labels will be revised to comply with PDS standards in a later Phoenix release.
1. The file SOFTWARE/SOFTINFO.TXT is incomplete. It will be revised by the MECA Team to contain contact information for those looking to obtain utilities to open or process MECA data products. The software utilities will not become part of the MECA archive.
2. This release includes Reduced Data Records (RDRs) for the WCL and AFM components of MECA. The MECA Team is preparing the RDRs for the TEGA component of MECA. They will be included in Release 2, February 20, 2009.
1. PDS labels for some RAC RDR data products include a group named CALIBRATION_PIPELINE. This group and the keywords within it are not standard PDS terms. These labels will be revised to comply with PDS standards in a later Phoenix release.
1. TEGA derived data products (RDRs) are scheduled to be included in Release 2.
